Once again the week just ends like that.
Monday felt just like 2 days ago.
In 2 weeks time, my high school education would be officially completed.
Looking back when I first started school was interesting.
I remembered my first hit on my butt by a cane was when I'm in form 1.
It was a total misunderstanding and something done by a loser.
Till today I can still remember that fella and a close friend that was with me throughout the whole process, Yin Jen.
We were both accused of making hell loads of noise which we didn't and the best part is the noisy people from the remove class from the previous year got away with it.
btw, remove class is for students that failed to pass major papers in UPSR.
Then comes form 2. The year that started with a change.
LOTS of change.
Well, it didn't started as well as it seemed.
I hated this annoying and childish guy.
He is the most childish person i've ever known and he does ridiculous stuffs which is totally LAME.
hes still the same after so many years.
same old attention seeking childish pest.
Then came april 2007.
The month I first changed school,
Ipoh International School.
I was just in time for the first exam and the exam was to gauge my level and etc.
Miraculously I managed to get into the school with Mrs Lai's command.
They had high hopes on me I guess and they probably think I would change.
and I did. From the boring sam tet student to the interesting joel lai you know today.
HAHAHA perasan statement!
but seriously,
I was lot worst when I first got to IIS.
I was having a confidence problem, I had low self esteem and I didn't dare to talk to girls.
well I'm still having that problem lol not that worst tho.
Life in school back then was very fun and problem free.
The rules weren't even tight and we all had good times in school.
The morning, morning break, lunch and sometimes afterschool basketball games were hell loads of fun.
Until someone made this stupid rule that we have to wear PE tshirts and ask for permisson to get the stupid school ball. Last time, we didnt even need to ask anyone if we could play basketball and ever since they builded that damn shade, we have to like pay every time we want to use it.
What a killjoy. They spended so much money on it and now they dont let us make full use of it.
What the hell is the shade for actually?
anyways, moving on.
Form 3 was still okay and I had my second favourite teacher Ms Debbie.
She helped me thru so much during the PMR exams.
Extra classes after school and tuition on saturdays at her place.
and I got a B for maths. It was my first time scoring good grades for maths.
I know a B isnt something special to you guys but a B for maths, I would be the happiest boy in the world.
Then Form 4. The year where we were told not to take as a honeymoon year.
but we did.
There was nothing much happening in form 4. Nothing I could recall.
and my last year of education,
which is now.
The year started off too fast. We were all still having fun knowing SPM is far far away, nobody bothered about the exams and we were still in the hangover of our honeymoon year.
In fact, some of my classmates were still in the honeymoon year. People like Joel Oon and Wai Leong made shit loads of problems in school like annoying every single classmates disturbing the on going lesson, doing crazy stuffs and also annoying the teachers.
They aren't planning to pave their future and it is very obvious that they don't.
Somethings can't be bought by money. You can have all the money in the whole wide world but you still cant live happily. You cant create a career for yourself because you arent qualified to.
An act without further thoughts.
Our class is also famous for one thing.
THEFT.
although the suspects can be narrowed down to one or two people,
we failed to catch them red handed.
and just today 25th of November,
a student from another school that came for the SPM exam lost her phone.
How embarrassing is that. What a nice way to tarnish our school's name even more.

Thats my high school life.
Gonna cherish my good friends and the people I love.
We might not be able to see each other in the near future but if theres a will theres a way.
Eventually we would get to meet up once again and talk about our school days.
All I can say is This is happening too damn fast.
